For the third week (7-13 Aug) of the George Town Festival, the Butterworth Fringe Festival (12-13 Aug) takes centre stage on the mainland side. Catch cool street acts by Dolphin Creative including the Jack Flash comedy stunt show and a juggling koala performance (yes…you read that right).

You also won't want to miss The Great Dave circus show (also in Gurney Plaza on 10-11 Aug), and The Chaplin Show by Argentine performer Diego (also in Queensbay Mall on 12-13 Aug).

Then you’ve got the 360 Allstars where everything is spinning – breakdancers, bikers, basketball freestylers and more; A Simple Space (also in Dewan Sri Pinang on 11-12 Aug), with seven gravity-defying acrobats; and Roots Street Art, a 20-hour marathon wall art competition that includes an interactive class on Shibori (Japanese fabric dyeing).
