The concept of ‘circus’ has evolved beyond clowns and performing animals to a focus on jaw-dropping acts that challenge the human mind and body – or at least, that’s how Crè makes it seem.

From 29 September to 1 October, Cre Arts Asia, Southeast Asia’s largest modern circus troupe, will set up stage at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre to demonstrate how they challenge themselves by manipulating the four natural elements.

This joint collaboration between Viva Circus and Psycusix, two Malaysian performing art studios, features local performers and exciting stunts such as flying pole acrobatics, fire spinning and more. What’s even more amazing is that most the performers are self-taught!

Interestingly, tickets are priced by ‘element’ zone, starting at RM98 for Fire (free seating), RM128 for Water and RM168 for Earth (both numbered seating). Children younger than 12 years old can get seats in Fire and Water for RM68.

Tickets can be purchased here – and if you buy before 14 September, Water and Earth tickets are discounted to RM108 and RM148 respectively. Or buy five Earth tickets and get one free! Part of the proceeds will be donated to the International Medical University Malaysia’s fundraising event, Chariofare.
