EL Tries: The Nomad Serviced Residences Bangsar

Strategically located within Kuala Lumpur’s expat enclave of Bangsar, The Nomad Serviced Residences Bangsar seems like a great location for executives, expatriates and families who want some quiet time. It offers a wide range of accommodation units to suit all living needs, ranging from a cosy 360sqft studio to a generous 1,700sqft three-bedroom residence, but my stay this time was going to be in a one-bedroom apartment.

As nice as the facilities and décor may be, it’s the service that will make the most important first impression and the warm smiles of the friendly staff were a favourable indicator that my stay would be a pleasant one. After registration, I was taken to my apartment and my first thought was: “I get this all to myself?!” Did I mention that the balcony overlooks the swimming pool?

Each serviced apartment is fully furnished with modern amenities, including cable TV and WiFi access. The Nomad Serviced Residences is close enough to the Bangsar retail district for residents to take advantage of the plentiful dining options there, but otherwise the fully-equipped kitchen had everything one would need to whip up a meal. It was the bedroom, however, that I was really looking forward to – the room’s cleanliness and the comfortable bed definitely got Nomad into my good books.

It was the weekend and everyone was home so the place was quite busy, but I managed to squeeze in a session at the gym. I was pleased to find that it was equipped with all the latest workout machines, and there was even a towel and water station when I needed to take a break. If I had more time, I would definitely have gone for a dip in the swimming pool or sat in the sauna room for a while. Families will appreciate the children’s playground, housekeeping service and the covered car park.

Though short, my stay here was definitely comfortable and the staff ’s hospitality made it even better. If you’re looking for a pleasant residence within a stone’s throw of shopping centres, medical facilities, restaurants and more, The Nomad Serviced Residences Bangsar is worth a look at.
