EL Tries: Simpli Dry

Do you dread spending hours in the beauty salon but still wish you looked good at work? If so, then Simpli Dry just might be a brilliant addition to your beauty regime. I put the salon to the test by sampling their services and I came out looking fresh and polished all within an hour and a half. Simpli Dry offers similar types of services to what a regular salon would – hair washes, blow dries, updos and treatments plus shoulder and scalp massages.

Situated at Batai Village, Simpli Dry stands out from the usual as they are an express salon that opens from 7.30am on weekdays except Wednesdays when they close, which means that besides having that great Powerpoint presentation for your work, your hair and nails will be on point too. Plus, Simpli Dry also houses the fourth outlet for Posh! Nail Spa, whose services include basic mani pedi, spa mani pedi, Footlogix treatment, 3D nail art and more.

As I walked in, I was offered two types of products – Nashi Argan from Italy and Legitime from Korea. Upon choosing the Nashi Argan treatment, supposedly made to moisturise hair, I was ushered to my seat. My attendees offered me something to drink while they made the preparations, then washed my hair before starting the treatment.

While my hair was being taken care of, I got a manicure done at the same time. I chose a hot pink colour that I thought would go well with my already painted red toenails. My manicurist started with a collagen masque for my hands, followed by trimming and buffing my nails before painting them. She made polite conversation while my hair and nails were being worked on – something I appreciated.

After that was done, all that was left to do was to simply dry my hair and fingernails!

The verdict: Not only did my hair look healthy and bouncy, it smelled amazing. To top it off, my nails still look glossy till today (it has been more than 3 weeks)!
