Bfab is an online concierge service that serves as a platform for customers to choose the best places to go to groom themselves. Some of the choices that guests may choose from include grooming for hair, nails, face, make up, spas and more. Booking an appointment is no hassle at all.
Once you’ve selected your desired grooming service, there will be a multitude of merchants to choose from. You may also filter in your budget range to customise your order. Upon choosing The Spa, Mandarin Oriental Kuala Lumpur, all I needed to do was select the available time slots and check out. Once my appointment was confirmed, I also had to print out my booking order as proof.
Upon entering the spa, I was greeted with a kind smile and pleasant service, and I was immediately put at ease. After sorting out my booking details, I chose to do the Customised Aromatherapy Facial which takes a total of 50 minutes to complete, with the use of Aromatherapy Associates products.
As its name suggests, the products have a unique scent with ingredients such as jojoba, Bora-Bora fragrance oil and peach, to name a few. My consultant, Lynn, assisted me by explaining the different range of products that the brand offers, and recommended the Mattifying range which works for oily skin or combination skin.
The beginning of the treatment started with a meditative clink of little cymbals that brought me into a tranquil state along with breathing exercises, while inhaling the scent of lavender. Shortly after, she gently cleansed my skin followed by a closer inspection of my skin and its problem areas. She cautiously highlighted them to me with occasional questions on my very minimal daily skincare routine, at which she politely – though disapprovingly – chuckled at. Lynn then slathered my skin with a scrub to remove stubborn impurities before cleaning that off.
The highlight of the facial was undeniably the aromatherapy massage where Lynn gently kneaded my face which I imagine helps with blood circulation. Right after, she used a deep cleanse clay mask to cover my face. While letting that sit on my skin, she carried on by massaging my scalp. To end, she removed the mask with a hot damp towel followed by lightly patting serum, eye cream, eye serum and moisturiser respectively. Upon brushing my lips with lip balm for moisture, my facial was done.
After a cup of, this time, cold Roselle tea, I was good to go! It was a delight to have reviewed The Spa what with colleagues complimenting the glow of my skin right after. Thanks to Bfab’s services, booking the spa was a breeze. If you’re new to Kuala Lumpur, this is the platform to use if you’re not sure where to get your beauty fixes. Simple, fast and easy to use too!
