Day Trip to Pulau Ketam
Join in this day trip to Pulau Ketam (which translates to ‘crab island’) organised by the Nature Education Centre this 26 January. Participants can birdwatch as well as learn about the different types of mangroves and its importance to the ecosystem during the river cruise and mangrove seed planting activity. This trip is for 13 years old and above and fees include meals, insurance, facilitators and ferry rides. Fill in this form to register.

Mini Magic Messy Play - Chinese New Year!
Bring your children and toddlers for a sensory playdate on 26 January. Sensory activities encourage kids to use all their senses and explore different textures around them with fun materials like slime, flour, play dough and coloured sand. This Chinese New Year themed playdate hosted by Mini Magic Messy Play will have fun (and messy) sensory play stations that are safe for young children to explore.

Prosperity Doughnut - Parent & Child Workshop
If you have kids aged 3 years old and above, head over to Young Chefs Academy on 27 January for a fun baking class. This session will see parent-child pairs baking and decorating Chinese New Year-themed doughnuts in conjunction with the festivities. Night walks in the City: Ampang Impounding Reservoir
Join the night hike on 28 January to the Ampang Impounding Reservoir, a forest that’s home to a diversity of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates located on the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur. This hike is suited for older kids and teens as the trail can be slippery and steep at certain places. Make sure to have your dinner beforehand, bring a flashlight and enough drinking water, and strap on proper hiking shoes. Registration here.
