Pooches In The Park 2019
On 4 August, bring your pet dogs to The Waterfront at Desa Parkcity. Pooches In The Park is back for their largest annual fundraiser. There will be local vendors selling boutique pet products, a BBQ just for dogs, above-ground swimming pools and a slippery slide where both your pooches and kids can enjoy. The profits raised will go towards the rescued animals, so it is for a good cause.

River Scientist Programme
The River Scientist Programme on the 4 August will be educating on the freshwater ecosystem and the conservation of freshwater resources. Participants will go on a guided quest to examine the water quality using water monitoring kits provided and catch aquatic organisms to identify which are bio-indicators. Through this programme, the Nature Education Centre hopes to raise the participants’ awareness and involvement in the protection of water quality. Register here.

MPH Children's Book Festival
Get your kids interested in reading by letting them choose what they would like to read. MPH is having a Children’s Book Festival at Publika from 5 -16 August. Visitors can expect lots of deals and discounts on books, stationery, gift, toys and more. There will be activities including storytelling, arts & crafts and colouring contests to keep your kids entertained.

My Neighbour Totoro Workshop
The Story Book presents a storytelling workshop of the movie, My Neighbour Totoro on the 13 August. The session starts off with an opening video and storytelling. The kids will get to hunt for acorns, a trail which led to Totoro in the movie. They will also learn how to make a Totoro paper purse, pen holder, dream catcher and Cat Bus tissue box. Suitable for kids aged 3 to 6.

Farm Visit & Vege Pasta Workshop
Vease (Junior Nutri Chef) is organising a family-friendly farm visit to the Fireflies Organic Farm Broga on 17 August. The kids will get a hands-on experience of the planting, nurturing and harvesting as well as feeding rabbits, goose and ducks. You will also get a farm-to-table experience by learning to make vegetable pasta with vegetables freshly plucked from the farm. You can register here.
