The quirkily named MariGin has opened its doors and it really is all about the gin here. Premium gins no less, with labels like Opihr, Sipsmith, Hendricks, Monkey 47 and The Botanist to name just a few from the staggering selection they have.

Part of The Marini’s Group (of Marini’s on 57 and Ce La Vi fame), MariGin aims to be the premier gin destination in the city. Its classy yet casual interior features cosy armchairs, pool and gin pong (who doesn’t love a good drinking game?) tables on the terrace and even rooms for private celebrations.

But let’s talk about the real reason you come here – gin and the many ways you can drink it. Being a gin parlour, expectations are understandably high, and MariGin delivers when it comes to the liquid sustenance. There are three components to the menu – gin cocktails, Ginfusions and the classic gin & tonic with different labels and quality tonic.

Ginfusions are gins infused with different ingredients, resulting in an array of flavours both exotic and eclectic. From rose petals and lemongrass to kaffir lime and chrysanthemum, these infusions become the base for cocktails like the signature Mari Gin-La or the bold Ginny In The Bottle. For the purist who wants a good old G&T, there are many combinations of gins and tonics to try as well.
