‘Tis the Season to be Jolly…

I absolutely love Christmas time. I love getting together with family and friends with good food, a glass of something nice, and let the magic take over. Decorating the house with our favourite Christmassy things holly, snowmen, candles and turning the tree into the fantasy Christmas tree of our childhood.

I derive great pleasure as I place my favourite decorations, remembering times past and other places we lived, old friends and good times.

It’s also party time, so if you’re planning to invite friends over, we have some easy recipes for you to follow. I like to create the smells of Christmas with cinnamon sticks, oranges with cloves and it’s always good to have some mulled wine brewing, as the smells create a Christmassy atmosphere.

Giving you the same advice as last year: one tip to take the stress out of Christmas and enjoy time with your families is “be prepared”. Make lists; buy all non-perishables in advance; prepare as much as you can in advance and make time for you to relax.

Season’s Greetings from FoodFriends and enjoy the seasons’ culinary offerings.
