For molecular cocktails and organic wines with a view, drop by this newly opened restaurant and bar in TREC.

Drop Hong Kong was established in 2000 and quickly became one of Hong Kong’s go-to nightlife destinations with an enviable directory of A-list guests (which include Sting and Gwyneth Paltrow) and international DJs regularly dropping by. Drop KL is the brand’s first overseas destination, and we’re sure it’ll be just as exciting a venue as its sister outlet.
To get to this restaurant and bar, head up the discreet flight of stairs behind Wine Connection in TREC. Upstairs, you’ll find a tasteful black marble bar and a dining section with private booths that doubles as a dance floor when night falls. Meanwhile, the alfresco area looks out onto the greens of Royal Selangor Golf Club – the perfect place to lounge about with a drink in hand. Fun tip: The black and white interiors of the unisex bathrooms make a stylish background for photos.

If you’re a fan of wine, you’ll be glad to know that Certified Sommelier Alison Christ has curated a selection of natural, biodynamic and organic wines – something you don’t find every day in KL. There’s also a list of expertly handcrafted molecular cocktails made with premium liquors and boutique spirits, and are very easy to drink. Go for the Apollo, an enjoyable cocktail of Diplomatico Mantuano, Antica Formula, fresh pomegranate juice, cardamom syrup and lime juice.
Drop KL prides itself with its Modern American cuisine, serving guests a menu that includes quirkily named dishes like The Real Deal Mac & Cheese (made with five different cheeses), Go Ask Alice (rabbit stew, of course) and Mary Had A Little Lamb Burger. *Stay tuned for our full food preview of Drop KL's dishes, coming soon!
Phase 2 will see an expansive rooftop bar opening in the near future, so keep an eye out. Drop KL is open Tuesdays to Thursdays 5pm-2am, and Fridays and Saturdays from 5pm until late.
