As a member of the Taylor’s Education Group, Nexus International School Malaysia (NISM) welcomes learners aged three to 18 from all over the world. Beginning with the International Early Years Curriculum Years (IEYC) and International Primary Curriculum (IPC), through to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP), learners here are nurtured and encouraged to become globally responsible citizens. This is accomplished through The Nexus Way, a methodology comprising four main elements – Inclusion, Innovation, Mindsets, Relationships – and what sets NISM apart from its peers. These elements guide learners on a path of academic excellence and a bright global future. The school is an Apple Distinguished School, a member of the Council of International Schools, is accredited by Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award and is a Cambridge International Examinations centre.
Supportive community relationships
For any family, moving to a new school is a big step for both the child and his / her family. A supportive school community can make a big difference in how well the child settles and how comfortable the parents are made to feel. With a student body and teaching staff from all over the world, NISM understands this and has taken measures to enhance student support. The Parent Teacher Association (PTA) helps parents play an integral role in their child’s education and organises activities to promote social well-being, socialisation and the international image of the school.

Excellent academic grades
Every parent wants the best for their child and academic excellence is an important aspect of an international school education. Outstanding results have been achieved across a wide range of subjects at NISM, and over the past five years the IBDP pass rate has stood at 95.9% compared to the global average of 78.2%. Learners have gone on to pursue their tertiary studies at top universities across the world in the UK, US, Canada, Singapore, Japan and China. The Nexus scholarship programme offers full and partial IBDP scholarships to Year 12 learners (self-paying) with high academic achievements, English fluency and good participation in co-curricular activities.
NISM is equipped with 21st century digital tools and very knowledgeable and qualified staff such as Apple Distinguished Educators and Google Educators. The school understands that learners must embrace the latest technology to skilfully navigate academics and their career paths. Technology also allows communication between teachers and parents through videos, blogs, online reporting, booking systems and support collaboration between all members of the community.
