IGB International School (IGBIS) has been awarded full international accreditation by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC) through its Commission on International Education (CIE), and by the Council of International Schools (CIS). IGBIS is the only school in Malaysia that has been credited by the NEASC, which is a prestigious independent membership organisation serving schools and universities (including Yale, MIT, Harvard) in New England and internationally. Plus, the CIS is a global non-profit membership organisation committed to upholding the standards of high quality international education. IGBIS joins over 738 schools and 583 colleges and universities representing 116 countries through the CIS accreditation.

Accreditation was given after evaluators from both bodies spent time at the school interviewing staff, parents and students, learning how the school was run and what was being done to provide students with the skills and knowledge to be great students and global citizens. This process also provided the opportunity for the school to review and assess its educational practices and programmes to improve and maintain excellent standards.

IGBIS is an IB World School accepting students from age two to 18. Students in the elementary school follow the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme leading up to the IB Diploma Programme and the IB Career-related Programme in secondary school.
