Kuala Lumpur City Gallery

23 Nov 2011 - 30 Jun 2012
Kuala Lumpur City Gallery

Formerly the Old Kuala Lumpur Memorial Library, the now Kuala Lumpur City Gallery is a haven of preserved history offering lessons on how Malaysia slowly evolved and transformed into what it is today.

Tourists can pick up some of the city's greatest moments in time and learn a little about Kuala Lumpur through prints, photos and architectural miniature models, which each tell a story.

Upon visiting the destination, travellers from far and wide can also take home a piece of the place by purchasing home-made trinkets as souvenirs for family and friends from one of the largest arch gift shops in the country, which is housed within the city gallery.

In addition, visitors will also be afforded a preview to an interactive 40ft x 50ft architectural scaled model of Greater Kuala Lumpur, the only one in Malaysia.

Kuala Lumpur City Gallery also serves as a Tourist Information Centre, providing comprehensive Kuala Lumpur Walks for free while visitors are also awarded complimentary tour maps to assist with their around-town expeditions.
