Dogathon 2012 @ UPM

The Students' Society of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (VETERNAK) and the Zoologico Club of University Putra Malaysia (UPM) in Serdang have formed a partnership to once again bring back the annual Dogathon.

This year marks the event's 16th edition. The particulars of Dogathon 2012 are as follows:

Date: 4 November 2012

Time: 6.30 am to 2:00 pm

Venue: Bukit Ekspo, UPM Serdang

Theme: How-low-ween, “Howl with the hounds or you’re doomed!”

Funds raised from the event will be channeled to a welfare project called “Pro-Kasih”, a student-run organisation aimed at achieving control of the population of stray animals whilst raising awareness amongst the public about our collective responsibility where in comes to neglected animals.

Apart from the fundraiser component, the initiative will also be used to educate the public on the importance of preventing the rise of strays on the street whilst creating a platform for all attending dogs and their owners to share a day fun and games outdoors.
