The Witch of the East, a wonderfully illustrated children’s book, has been released on the Apple website as a download available for the iPad.
Narrated by Braveheart actor, Jimmy Chisholm and Royal Shakespeare Company actress, Siobhan Redmond, the 22-page e-book was created to raise funds for the Scottish Burnt Children’s Club in an effort to help young burn victims and their families cope with the devastating effects of their injuries.
Written by Edinburgh author, Mark Boyde and illustrated by Scottish artist, Scott McGregor, The Witch of the East is the first in a set of six such books.
The second book, The Legend of Mordekai Hagg is due for release in July. This book will feature Billy Boyd from the Lord of the Rings.
