Party people, Bukit Bintang is the place to be this weekend with two foreign festivals set to light up the area with food, music, dance and entertainment.

First up is the second edition of the Indonesia Street Bukit Bintang Festival, held at Pavilion Kuala Lumpur from 18 to 21 May. Carrying the theme ‘Explore Exotic Indonesia’, visitors will be treated to Indonesian cultural performances, fashion shows by Indonesian designers, batik and weaving workshops, henna and face painting, as well as 12 booths selling local food, fashion and cosmetics.

Highlight: catch Indonesian singer Cakra Khan performing on 20 May as part of the festival from 7.30 to 8.30pm.

On Sunday 21 May, bbpark and Plaza Low Yat will play host to the ninth Latin American Festival from 11am to 6pm! Nine Latin American and Caribbean Embassies (GRULAC) in Malaysia have joined forces to bring you a taste of the region’s culture, including the best of their cuisine, traditional performances, games, music and more.

There will also be a raffle (RM20 per ticket) where the top prize is two round trip flight tickets to Havana, Cuba, thanks to Turkish Airlines. All proceeds will benefit Pusat Jagaan Kanak-kanak Kurang Upaya (KIRTARSH Home for Disabled Children), so come have fun for a good cause.
