This column comes all the way from Melbourne, Australia. I’m home visiting the family, which is very much NOT a holiday.

The H Family is proud to announce a new arrival. Our four has become five with the recent addition of Jedi, an eight-week-old kitten

My concern is that the world thinks that, due to what sounds like a huge number of followers, OMM speaks for the rest of us.

But that doesn’t stop people stalking shoppers the second they emerge from the lift until they get to their vehicle.

I think this is a bit harsh and would be fine with them just being sent to a giant iceberg in the Arctic Circle.

Frankly, my daughter’s conceited enough without being told she’s the mother of God.

The Golden Rules. #1 Don't run out of boose. #2 Don't run out of booze. #3 Seriously. Check the booze. Is there enough?

My daughter was fine. I was the one needing a tissue and a moment to collect myself!

Always in control, a smile for everyone and solution for every problem - even if it is usually served in a glass with ice and lime.

At the new place, everyone smiles and says “good morning”. Some even stop, chat to the kids and ask how our day has been - strange.
