Amadeus Bistro & Wine Bar1 Nov 2012
Amadeus recently opened its doors to the public offering an impressive menu which will leave you spoiled for choice with its variety of European cuisine. Located at the Life Centre in the middle of the busy street of Jalan Sultan Ismail, I believe it would soon become a sanctuary for people to avoid the crazy rush hour jam in Kuala Lumpur.
The name Amadeus was adopted from the legendary musical genius, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and one of the reasons why it was chosen is because their menu and cuisine showcases the journey of Mozart throughout Europe.
Having been there myself, I must say that it is simply worth trying. For starters, I had the opportunity to sample the seafood chowder which was creamy and full of flavour. As for the main course, we were served the beef goulash (beef braised in rich tomato and onion broth) and the best of it all was the Lamb Rack which had everyone asking for more. It was juicy and tender and was served with smashed potatoes coated with rich special gravy which had a tinge of sweetness to it that made it irresistible. When it was time for dessert we were served with red velvet cake, carrot cake as well as soft cheese cake with lemon sauce which was so good that the term ‘thought I’d died and gone to heaven’ comes to mind.
It is a great place to sit back and feast on good food served with some of the best European wines and accompanied by the soothing sounds of European music.
