Twenty.One Tables+Terrace

As I stepped into twenty.one tables+terrace, I was amazed by the new look of the place. Having been there before for its drinks rather than its food, it now has transformed magnificently to an elegant eatery which boasts a variety of delicious food.

With a decorative glass partition that separates the bar and dining area, good music playing in the background and a view that overlooks Bangsar’s streets and greens it definitely ensures a more pleasurable dining experience for its customers.

With a menu that has a selection of modern European cuisine as well as Asian delights, we didn’t know where to begin! After much contemplation, we finally decided to go all western for a change as we were rather used to the Asian taste.

For our starters, we ordered the Wild Mushroom Soup with cheese crouton, crispy beef bacon and truffle cream and went for the classic Caesar Salad. A delightful change to all those canned mushroom soup that are served elsewhere, the soup was creamy and with the bits of crispy beef bacon and melted cheese on the croutons made it a perfect combination.

As for the Caesar Salad with grilled chicken instead of the usual boiled eggs that comes with it, this came with a poached egg which was a pleasant surprise. Being big fans of salad, the plate were wiped cleaned by the time we were done.

Steak & Chips with béarnaise and garlic rosemary sauce and the Crispy Skin Salmon with potato croquettes, tomato, asparagus and caper butter sauce were our selection for the main course. The steak was tender and juicy that went well with the sauce. The crispiness of the skin salmon could be tasted at every bite and the caper butter sauce had a lemony taste to it which added flavour to the salmon.

After all those delicious meals, we thought we have reached our limit but as soon as the desserts came out we immediately changed our minds. The chocolate molten with white chocolate foam and the Passion Fruit Crème Brulee with dark chocolate mousse and caramel was just too hard to resist.
As soon as I sliced the cake with my spoon, melted chocolate started oozing out of it.

Mixed with the white chocolate foam and a drizzle of sweet mint sauce, it was definitely a sinful pleasure. The Passion Fruit Crème Brulee didn’t disappoint either. Its creamy and custardy taste mixed with passion fruit tasted just as good. The dark chocolate mousse and caramel drizzle added a bittersweet taste to it which made it irresistible.

With a wonderful atmosphere that surrounds it, twenty.one tables+terrace is perfect for a chill out session after work with good food and drinks and even a romantic dinner for two. As for us, it was a delightful dining experience.
