Delicious, Penang

Located on the ground floor on north Quay and sea fronted, Delicious has taken full advantage of the stunning views and decorated the veranda with striking, modern furniture to accentuate a relaxing atmosphere for alfresco dining. on entering the restaurant the immediate impressions are; cooling, calming, smart, modern and chic.

The menu, extensive and reasonably priced is the same as other Delicious Cafes and all tastes are catered for. We were a party of six and ordered several dishes to share, mostly from the grazing section; the Yakitori Chicken Skewers were perfectly cooked; very moist and tender. Trio of Bruschetta with tomatoes, mushrooms and eggplant and grilled capsicum was excellent. Trio of dips with homemade Lebanese bread and truffle oil, shoestring fries with parmesan cheese and crispy fried mushrooms were all very tasty and perfect for sharing.

One of our guests ordered the braised Waygu beef pie and was very impressed with how it was served—with a green side salad and a small sauce boat of gravy. It tasted good too. We also ordered one dish from the DeliEast section; Thai steamed sea bass with rice and Asian vegetables. The presentation was different than expected but taste was good. Two orders of cheeseburgers served with shoestring fries were seriously delicious. As you can see from our selections, the menu at Delicious is very varied making it an exciting place for foodies.

Delicious is most famous for its mouth- watering desserts which we had to try. the Berrilicious Chocolate Pavlova and an After-eight Cupcake were sheer indulgence, decadent and simply delightful. We noticed several customers leaving with boxes and were informed Delicious does take-out desserts. It’s a great place for breakfast with hubby, lavish, long, lazy lunches with the girls and casual dinners with a group of friends.
