Recipe: Stir-Fried Bok Choy

Serves 4


400g bok choy
2tbsp oil
2 cloves of garlic, smashed
3 thin slices ginger, smashed
3tbsp chicken stock
1tsp sugar
Light soy sauce to taste
1tsp roasted sesame oil


Cut the bok choy into halves lengthways. Wash and dry. Heat a wok over high heat, add the oil and heat until very hot. Stir-fry the garlic and ginger for 30 seconds. Add the bok choy and stir-fry until it begins to wilt, then add the stock and sugar and season with soy sauce. Simmer for approximately 2 minutes or until leaves are tender but still green. Add the sesame oil and serve hot.
