Recipe: Halloween Graveyard Pudding21 Oct 2014
Amp up the spook factor at this year's Halloween party with a buffet table to die for. From candy ghosts to gummy worms, go wild at the candy aisle and top this spooky pudding with everything Halloween.
+ 1 box Jell-O Chocolate instant pudding
+ 10 pieces Oreo cookies, cream removed
+ 2 tbs chocolate chips
+ Milano cookies
Choose a container. I used a rectangular aluminum tray for easy disposal but a casserole tray or individual plastic cups will work fine.
Prepare chocolate pudding according to package instructions. Pour into the tray until almost full.
For the soil: Place Oreo cookies into a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin or a heavy mug, until the texture is like fine sand. Scatter on top of the pudding.
For the tombstone: Slowly melt the chocolate chips in the microwave and transfer into a piping bag. Pipe any designs you like on the Milano cookies, such as the words ‘RIP’ or a skull. Work quickly as the chocolate will become firm again.
Decorate the ‘soil’ with the Milano cookie ‘tombstones’ and add more spooky candies if you like, such as gummy worms. Keep in the refrigerator until serving time.
