Limkokwing University of Creative Technology, in collaboration with the Botswana High Commission UK hosted a fashion show organised by the British Fashion Council. The runway show was held as part of the London Fashion Week A/W 2012 on 25 February.

Titled ‘Creativity in Motion: Botswana at London Fashion Week’, the show marked a milestone for the institute as it was the first Malaysian and Botswana university to grace the London Fashion Week. Adding to its significance is the fact that this was also the first time Botswana designers showcased their work on an international platform.

The designers which came on board in support of the project include Thato Tlhagwane, Botho Chalebgwa, Beryl Phala, Black Trash and Sela Motshwane.

Also featured on that night was a collection that reflected Eastern ethnic heritage created by students from Limkokwing Kuala Lumpur, proudly showing off works of students from Malaysia, Iran, Korea, Indonesia, India and more.

Currently, Limkokwing University has 30, 000 students at 12 campuses in 8 countries. Limkokwing London is the first Asian and Commonwealth university to open its services in London.
