KDU College Penang will be holding a Charity Bazaar on 9 June at 32 Jalan Anson as part of its corporate social responsibility.

Members of the public are invited to support the effort aimed at raising funds for HOPE Worldwide's Free Mobile Clinic & Reading Programme.

Proceeds from the charity bazaar will cover medical expenses for the needy through the Free Mobile Clinic Service outreach programme targeting various domestic rural areas including orang asli settlements.

Supported by Starbucks Coffee, Dreamz and M-Care, the exercise is expected to draw as many as 10,000 visitors with YB Phee Boon Poh, State Councilor of Health and Welfare, Caring Society, Environment on board as the guest of honour.

KDU Penang’s second charity drive for HOPE Worldwide. Its previous event held in 2010 helped raise close to RM 60,000 to construct a mobile clinic for the organisation

One of the key highlights of this year's bazaar includes the auctioning of Dato' Lee Chong Wei's autographed Yonex badminton racquet.

Besides that, there will also be a variety of items on sale such as books, magazines, paintings, and more. Starbucks, Uncle Bob, Nestle and Adidas are among the many brands who will be having a booth at the bazaar.
