AirAsia has been bestowed a stream of awards ever since the debt-ridden company was bought over for an unbelievable sum of RM1 and transformed into one of the most successful airlines globally. The airline even made its way to a Forbes Asia award for being Asia’s Top 200 “Best Under A Billion” Companies back in 2005; “Airline of The Year” in 2009 by the Centre for Asia Pacific Aviation and most recently, winning the World’s Best Low-Cost Airline title by Skytrax World Airline Awards.
The airline also recently launched AirAsia Premium Red Lounge at klia2, a space offering services and facilities such as a buffet spread, shower facilities and more. AirAsia is also the first to operate the Airbus A320 neo – a fuel saving aircraft – in Southeast Asia. Expect lower costs after the purchase of this aircraft by AirAsia!
